Under the direction of the Assembly Manager, the 1st Shift Industrial Mechanic will assemble fabricated and machined components to build shot blast equipment.

Requirements

  • Verbal and Written Communication skills
  • Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Problem Solving skills, the ability to make decisions and follow-through.
  • Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and to make metric system conversions.
  • Mechanical Knowledge.
  • Overhead crane experience required.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or similar setting required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience repairing heavy industrial equipment preferred.
  • Ability to weld preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with industrial heavy machine assembly preferred.
  • Hydraulics experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Very strong mechanical ability to assemble fabricated and machined components.
  • Rig and load trucks using overhead cranes independently.
  • Ability to perform advanced small to large machinery assembly.
  • Full understanding of blueprint readings and schematics.
  • Determine proper tools and machinery required to complete the production schedule.
  • Complete final inspection of all parts to meet quality standards.
  • Complete required monthly safety training.
  • Support both internal and external customers.
  • Provide support and backup as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Help drive and support BCT’s Culture and Core Values.
