About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona! What you're responsible for: Reading blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures Installing, aligning, dismantling and moving stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools Operating hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions Installing, troubleshooting and maintaining power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment. Assembling machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment

Requirements

  • You have experience working safely in a heavy industrial environment
  • You are comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions
  • You are proficient in welding and basic equipment repair
  • You have experience completing preventative maintenance tasks, checklists, and work orders with proper parts documentation
  • You are eager to learn and operate state-of-the-art equipment and diagnostics
  • You are able to work independently, prioritize tasks based on production urgency, and stay focused on execution

Responsibilities

  • Reading blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Installing, aligning, dismantling and moving stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools
  • Operating hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
  • Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
  • Installing, troubleshooting and maintaining power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment.
