Your Night, Engineered Picture your shift beginning at 7:00 p.m. You walk the floor, ears tuned to the hum of production. A line hiccups — you trace it to a worn component, make the mechanical repair, and bring the equipment back to life. Later, you dive into ladder logic on an Allen‑Bradley PLC, adjust an HMI setting, and the process steadies. That’s a typical night for our Industrial Maintenance Technologist. What You’ll Do Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues quickly and safely across the facility. Own preventative maintenance on assigned machines to maximize uptime. Perform welding and fabrication with minimal direction. Accurately and promptly enter work details into the maintenance system. Apply advanced electrical knowledge to diagnose, repair, and work safely. Shift, Training, and Schedule Schedule: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., 2-2-3 day rotation. Onboarding: This role will train on 1st shift. Assessment Requirement Candidates must complete and pass an electrical board and PLC programming hands-on assessment. What You Bring Strong electrical and PLC manufacturing background; able to read ladder logic and program HMIs. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing. Experience with Allen‑Bradley PLCs and controls. Mechanical aptitude including welding and cutting. Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings/prints. Workbench skills and basic computer proficiency. Confident with meters and precision measurements; tape measure reading. At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. May require CPR and First Aid training. Safety training such as lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, and confined space. Proficiencies PLC troubleshooting, programming, and wiring (Allen‑Bradley). Electrical troubleshooting and electrical repair. Mechanical troubleshooting. Hydraulics experience and plumbing. Blueprint reading; tape measure reading. Basic computer skills.
