As a fully competent Industrial Maintenance Technician, the incumbent will perform repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, plant blow mold equipment, and facility systems. They are also responsible for adhering to the company's Good Manufacturing Practices and implementing the industry’s best practices in maintenance operations. Job Description Industrial Maintenance Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies. - Install, adjust, and repair blow mold, trimmers, palletizer, material handling equipment and other related equipment. - Perform mold, neck tooling changes, pin, and other equipment changes. - Replace motors and basic instrumentation - Inspect and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses. - Inspect, rebuild, and replace valves and pumps. - Perform preventive maintenance on all related equipment. - Maintain machines in optimal processing conditions. - Troubleshoot, identify root causes to problems, and repair blow mold, baggers, and support equipment. - Able to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and other related equipment. - Perform preventive maintenance and repair on facility systems such as compressors, chillers, HVAC, and related equipment, including building maintenance. - May operate blow mold or injection machines. - Communicate with other departments on a frequent basis. - Duties may differentiate by plant based on equipment and plant design. - Role is part of an operating team, which includes attending shift start meetings and participating in team work processes. - May interact with contractors, vendors and external support personnel. - Receives instructions on specific job tasks by Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician or Supervisor. - Other duties as assigned by management. - Assistance is furnished with unusual problems, and work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment. Additional Responsibilities: - Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan, schedule, track, and execute 100% of maintenance activities. - Apply continuous improvement tools and methodologies to reduce maintenance-related losses including equipment downtime, breakdowns, and maintenance costs. - Support initiatives and projects to improve equipment availability and reliability through data-driven maintenance strategies.
