About The Position

Join our team and help keep our facilities running smoothly! You’ll be hands-on with mechanical, electrical, and automated equipment, installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and facility structures—all while following safety standards and company guidelines to ensure our operations stay safe and efficient.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience (or a combination of experience and trade school) in building maintenance, material handling equipment maintenance, or refrigeration maintenance (ammonia, Freon, and/or CO2).
  • Comfortable completing preventative maintenance with guidance and minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the facility.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Able to work in temperatures from -20°F/-25°C in cold storage to 100°F/37°C in dry storage, wearing PPE and freezer gear.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs./23 kgs. (weight may vary by facility).
  • Flexible with work schedule and shifts, including weekends if needed.
  • Comfortable with varying noise levels and working at heights in some locations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance on all mechanical and electrical equipment that keeps the facility, building, and exterior grounds operating at peak performance.
  • Work with automated systems, including proximity switches, photoelectric sensors, pressure switches, push buttons, and associated testing equipment to keep everything running efficiently.
  • Perform inspections and basic repairs on refrigeration systems.
  • Maintain and repair material handling equipment, following manufacturer and company guidelines for safety and reliability.
  • Keep accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs, and communicate updates to leadership daily.
  • Operate power tools, cutting torches, welding equipment, motorized lifts, and rental equipment as needed.
  • Take on other maintenance tasks as assigned to support facility operations.
