Industrial Maintenance Technician Company Description : Toppan Interamerica Inc. is a specialty printer of decorative paper for the furniture and flooring industries. Toppan prints natural wood, stone reproductions, and trendy abstracts on rotogravure printing presses. Toppan's facility located in Morgantown PA opened in 1988. Toppan Interamerica Inc. has its headquarters in McDonough, GA and is part of part of a multi-national company known as Toppan Printing. Qualifications/Experience/Skills : We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team and fill an immediate need Job Requirements : As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be required to show a strong knowledge of repair, PM, troubleshooting, as well as the ability to trouble-shoot 480VAC 3 phase motor systems. A successful Industrial Maintenance Technician must have an electrical and mechanical background Must have excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks Must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning equipment Responsible for performing preventative maintenance up to and including complex repairs. Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential Knowledge of HVAC and/or gas burner systems and controls is preferred. Other requirements for the Industrial Maintenance Technician include: Willingness to work overtime as needed Strong communication skills Proven commitment to safety Comfort with working at heights Knowledge of electrical testing equipment Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word programs Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams Ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions, and initiate repairs Attention to detail and excellent follow up skills Must be self-motivated with excellent time management skills Ability to work with little or no supervision High attention to detail Essential Functions : Troubleshoot and repair boilers, air compressors, air dryers, hydraulic systems, pumps and mixers Performs routine facilities maintenance Perform preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems and equipment Assist other technicians with assignments as needed Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance Safely perform functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, confined space safety, and wearing PPE as required Operate a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers, diagnostic hardware, hand powered and pneumatic tools to perform work Must be flexible in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the printing operation. Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor Primary equipment in use at Toppan Interamerica : Rotogravure presses for printing of papers and vinyl films Surface-wind Rewinders for the Inspection of printed products RTOs - Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers for Air Quality Compliance 50K Waste Heat Boiler and 700 hp Gas-Fired Boiler and related equipment 400-ton Air Cooled Rotary Screw Chiller and Cooling Tower Various Hydraulic systems for the Oxidizers, Presses, Ink Dispense System, etc. Three (3) 100 HP Air Compressors Other various related laboratory and facility equipment Hours : Must be able to train on 1st Shift (1) third shift 8pm-6am (Sunday) 11pm-7am(Mon-Thurs) Must be able to work overtime as needed Physical Requirements : Have the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs Have the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs Must be able to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color coding Have the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat, and kneel repetitively during shift Have the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for a shift Have the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for a shift Have the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant for a shift Pre-Employment testing : Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening. Requirements
