About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II is a highly skilled and crucial role responsible for all facility and equipment maintenance, repair, installation, and removal. This position is also responsible for managing the on-site forklift driver's certification program and maintaining all related logs. Requirements

  • Proven experience in industrial facility and equipment maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance for production equipment and building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
  • Excellent organizational skills required for managing maintenance logs, driver certifications, and spare parts inventory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for managing vendor and customer relationships.
  • A deep, professional understanding of safety and environmental policies.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency with a wide variety of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all preventative maintenance and repair on a wide range of equipment, including but not limited to SMETCO, Palamatic, forklifts, compressors, and various production equipment.
  • Maintain and repair building infrastructure such as electrical systems, plumbing, lighting, and HVAC.
  • Manage the on-site forklift driver's certification program, ensuring all drivers are certified and their certifications are current.
  • Maintain all logs related to machinery and ensure all maintenance logs are current and accurate.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety and environmental policies and procedures at all times.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and verify the accuracy of all services and charges.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure that necessary reporting and reimbursable expenses are obtained on a monthly basis.
