Steady Work On the job training Day one holiday pay Day one 401K Vacation Time at 91 days Benefits at 91 days Tuition Assistance Career growth and advancement opportunities What are the hours and pay? 2nd Shift - 1:55PM-10PM Monday - Friday, plus rotating weekends & overtime as needed (hours may flex based on operations need) Base Pay $25.30/hour - $36/hour and up depending on experience. Plus $1.50 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift. What is the job? Maintenance Techs are responsible for the installation, change over, troubleshooting, preventive and regular maintenance and/or repair of machinery and mechanical equipment located throughout the production facility.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Journeyman or equivalent (minimum 5 years experience)
  • Should have additional training - electrical apprentice or J.V.S.
  • Blueprint reading ability for electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems as well as engineering drawings (i.e. facility layout).
  • Ability to use a variety of precision measuring instruments such as tape measure, micrometers, calipers, volt meter, amp probe.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Mechanical ability to use tools of the trade, e.g. drill presses, lathes, grinders, etc.
  • Welding capability - stick/tig.
  • Lift truck skills - requires successful completion of lift truck training class/examination.
  • H/VAC knowledge and experience

  • Work overtime as needed - 7 days a week for months at a time.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. of a non-repetitive nature
  • Must practice safety lockout/tagout procedure when working on equipment.
  • Sometimes required to work alone - other times work very close with others.
  • Able to cope with stringent deadlines for equipment needed back in service.
  • Ability to work while wearing a respirator. (Physical exam required.)
  • Good eye/hand coordination, dexterity and adroitness.
  • Requires standing, walking and/or moving about for periods of time in excess of one (1) hour
  • Perform position requirements while wearing eye, ear, foot and/or other protective devices as requiredR Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn including but not limited to: eyes, ear, foot and/or other protective devices as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Oscilloscope would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot and/or repair any of a variety of electrical equipment (i.e., motors, controllers, etc.), hydraulic and mechanical devices per all OSHA requirements.
  • Interpret blueprints or other written specifications for electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic applications.
  • Install and/or repair all types of plumbing (i.e., water, gas, steamline, hydraulic, etc.).
  • Use safe practices in repairing, checking equipment using safety tagout-lockout procedure.
  • Comply with all safety and housekeeping standards — Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Equipment Safety Analysis (ESA) and Area Safety Analysis (ASA).
  • Communicate to coworkers and supervisors - developments, needs, etc. as they occur.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment per maintenance schedule.
  • Operate lathes, drills, presses, grinders and/or other machine tools to fabricate, modify, and/or repair machinery and/or mechanical parts/pieces needed.
  • Ensure that job is run in environmental compliance after instructions from supervisor/environmental group.
  • Perform routine housekeeping in work area(s) as necessary.
  • Perform Lift Truck Mechanic duties, which requires: Documentation of preventative maintenance and expenditure programs Clean, lubricate and service motorized equipment per established schedule May require off-site work assignments at various American Trim facilities and/or may require occasional trips to suppliers for parts pick up.
