About The Position
At Zalk Josephs Fabricators, maintenance is a critical function—not a support role. Our technicians are responsible for keeping production equipment and facility systems operating safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime across the plant. Requirements
- One (1+) year or more of maintenance experience
- Strong troubleshooting ability across electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Comfortable working at heights and a physically active environment
- Ability to work independently and prioritize equipment issues effectively
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math (including tape measure use)
- Strong commitment to safety and clear communication
Nice To Haves
- Experience with MIG/stick welding, torch cutting, brazing, and soldering
- Experience in structural steel, fabrication, or heavy manufacturing
- Familiarity with CNC, robotics, or automated production equipment
- Experience maintaining cranes or large material handling systems
- Experience operating scissor lifts
- Experience working in 3-phase 480v electrical panels
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment with minimal supervision
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime
- Work across electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Support continuous improvement of equipment reliability and performance
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Maintain a safe, organized workspace and uphold safety standards
