The Maintenance Supervisor is a key position in our Lockeford branch. This position leads the activities of maintenance professionals; provides assistance to employees engaged in maintenance activities and advises operations leadership on preventative maintenance goals, repairs as needed, and advises on working processes for operators to follow to optimize equipment life cycle. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll primarily work with the production and maintenance teams to ensure proper equipment maintenance. This position is a salaried position with starting pay between $79,000 to $95,000 annually. This position requires to have your own tools. A highlight of your day-to-day will include: Oversees the preventative maintenance programs to ensure the equipment throughout the plant and building areas operate at optimum levels of efficiency and safety. Keeps and maintains records on weekly preventative maintenance checklist. Oversees or performs repairs on overhead cranes, batch plant, hoppers, power grids, mixers, benders, automated equipment and other equipment to ensure that the plant is operating per guidelines. Utilizes a variety of power tools, and hand tools to perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs to equipment and machinery. Ensures that equipment and machinery are oiled, lubricated, and inspected per company guidelines during preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is in good working order. Welds parts to equipment during repairs or installations as needed. Replaces damaged parts of equipment with new parts as needed. Orders parts and installs appropriate parts to machinery. Leads the activities of employees; provides assistance to workers engaged in maintenance activities; troubleshoots worker and maintenance problems and recommends solutions. Engages in interactive communication. Trains workers in maintenance methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies. Monitors comprehension and re-trains as necessary. Manages employees including but not limited to: interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; motivating, evaluating, rewarding and disciplining employees. Provides cost effective solutions to upgrade or repair equipment as needed by using cost benefit analysis and communicating to management. Provides recommendations regarding plant equipment needs, including safety mechanisms, and improvement of plants to increase productivity, decrease downtime and ensure equipment is maintained according to company guidelines. Provides guidance and technical advice to plant maintenance personnel on a daily basis and ensures all safety procedures are followed by maintenance personnel. Ensures projects assigned are completed according to expectations and within the timeframe required to complete the task. Provides technical feedback and advises maintenance employees on performing tasks safely and efficiently. Trains maintenance workers on how to properly maintain equipment within the plant, yard, and building. Trains maintenance workers regarding the utilization of various tools and machinery. Manages large install projects via Jensen's maintenance personnel or outside contractors. Ensures that machinery and equipment is set up to ensure work environment is safe and organized. Reviews directions or communicates with vendors as needed to ensure equipment is properly maintained or installed.
