About The Position

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for projects located in and around Richmond, VA . This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of up to $30/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and machinery Perform preventive and corrective maintenance accurately and in a timely manner Analyze test results, error messages, and operator reports to diagnose and recommend repairs Perform lockout/tagout procedures in compliance with safety guidelines Ensure fire, electrical, and plant safety procedures are followed Support food safety programs including GFSI, FSMA, HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, and SQF system requirements Report food safety issues to immediate supervisor Promote and support an accident-free workplace culture Assist in risk identification, accident prevention, and process improvements Collaborate with HR/Safety Manager to minimize risk exposure

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; completion of trade school or state certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred (not required)
  • Knowledge of electrical and machine control troubleshooting preferred
  • Must pass written exam, background check, and drug screen
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow verbal/written instructions
  • Basic arithmetic for measurements and recipe following
  • Standing and/or walking for 4+ hours
  • Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 75 lbs
  • Able to work in temperature variations (refrigerated ~38°F to warm ~75°F environments)

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and machinery
