As an Industrial Hygiene / EH&S Generalist at Raytheon’s El Segundo, CA facility, you’ll bring your experience with Industrial Hygiene programs, your willingness to embrace new challenges and your ability to prioritize effectively and provide timely support to multiple stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include: Under the direction of the EH&S Manager, supporting and implementing IH programs including, but not limited to, IH Sampling, Ventilation, Ionizing and Nonionizing Radiation, Lasers and Hazard Communications. Performing qualitative and quantitative Industrial Hygiene monitoring and assessments to evaluate employee exposure to potential hazards. Supporting Industrial Hygiene awareness initiatives, employee training activities, and workplace programs focused on injury prevention and environmental responsibility Assisting with routine site inspections and Industrial Hygiene surveys. With guidance from experienced EH&S staff, assisting with incident and injury investigations including documentation, corrective action tracking and follow-up. Communicating ACGIH, OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI standards and survey data to management and employees. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support consistent administration and documentation of company EH&S programs to ensure a safe workplace Contributing to EH&S improvement projects and initiatives designed to strengthen safety culture and continuous improvement Supporting site and business EH&S communications by helping to prepare materials, presentations and safety messages Assisting with emergency preparedness activities, drills and response planning Supporting safety training efforts, including assisting with instructor-led sessions and coordinating training logistics Assisting with preparation for internal and external audits such as Cal VPP, AS9100 and internal company assessments Limited travel (approximately 10%) may be required to support site or enterprise initiatives This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon’s El Segundo, CA facility.

Requirements

  • Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience administering Industrial Hygiene programs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the development and execution of RCCAs
  • Experienced in conducting and developing creative EH&S training.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision but will not hesitate to seek additional information from supervisors or peers so tasks can be completed timely and correctly.
