About The Position

Greiner Industries is seeking a skilled Field Millwright with expertise in industrial systems and machinery to join our team. This role is critical in providing on-site support & maintenance for our industrial clients, ensuring that machinery and equipment operate efficiently and reliably. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in diverse environments, often under tight deadlines.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or related fields preferred.
1+ years of experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role, with a focus on industrial machinery or equipment (preferred).
Experience with a broad range of industrial systems (e.g., installing: motors, pumps, hydraulic systems) is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of mechanical/hydraulic systems and the ability to repair/maintain them.
Relevant certifications such as Industrial Maintenance Certifications, are a plus.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, as this position requires extensive travel.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to think critically and act decisively in emergency situations.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical clients.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or after-hours, as needed.
Physical stamina to handle heavy equipment and perform manual tasks in industrial environments.
Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, high places, and noisy settings.
Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in physically demanding positions for extended periods.
Ability to travel regularly and work at different client locations, sometimes requiring overnight stays.
Must provide personal transportation to/from job site (paid mileage/time)

Experience with welding and fabrication is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on maintenance on conveyors and other machinery.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and emergency repairs on machinery to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency at customer sites.
Install new machinery or equipment as per client specifications, ensuring correct setup.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals to perform installations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during service visits, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Communicate technical issues, repair plans, and recommendations to customers in a clear and concise manner.
Maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely, efficient, and courteous service.
Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
Conduct risk assessments and safety checks before starting any repair or maintenance work.
Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and observe all safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Report safety hazards or concerns immediately to management.
Maintain accurate records of time worked, travel expenses, and other administrative tasks required for billing and reporting purposes.
Ensure that service vehicles are stocked with necessary tools, parts, and equipment to complete a wide range of service calls.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, including performing regular checks and servicing.
