Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Licensed electrician and/or electrical contractor certification
  • Lockout/Tagout training; proper control of hazardous/stored energy
  • 8-10 years’ experience in maintaining electrical systems in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Course work in hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC helpful
  • Industrial maintenance mechanic experience with emphasis on electrical systems
  • Automotive supply chain experience helpful but not required
  • AutoCAD experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for quality and conformance of product to customer specifications per control plans utilizing TS16949 & ISO14001 documented systems; authority to stop non-conforming processes and report same to supervisor, Quality Assurance and/or Engineering department representative
  • Install, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems, circuit breakers, AC and DC motors, motor controls, variable speed drives, electrical panels, air & water systems, and various utility systems for the manufacturing facility and/or its equipment
  • Perform electrical system calculations to ensure safe, properly-sized systems and components for all applications of the manufacturing facility
  • Plan, organize, and lead the installation and/or modification of new or existing equipment; provide sketches and parts inventory list(s) and recommended Preventive Maintenance schedules
  • Install & troubleshoot production and support equipment in conjunction with Engineering and Production teams including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI’s)
  • Familiarity with high voltage and electrical switchgear
  • Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA standards, inclusive of Arc Flash regulations
  • Read, understand, and make modifications to complex electrical prints, diagrams, or schematics. AutoCAD experience a plus
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment throughout the plant
  • Inspect equipment and electrical wiring conditions utilizing established Preventive Maintenance procedures and appropriate electrical testing equipment
  • Maintain necessary equipment documentation including machine histories, Preventive Maintenance check sheets, and log books
  • Build, troubleshoot, and repair electrical panels according to established code (NEC)
  • Assist Maintenance with repair & troubleshooting of electrical, & HVAC systems
  • Seek Continuous Improvement opportunities to improve efficiencies while reducing waste
  • Keep informed and up-to-date with latest technologies and new equipment through participation in ongoing training as provided by Eagle Bend and its suppliers
  • Direct personnel to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Housekeeping and other activities as assigned
  • SH&E Support and enforce compliance to TS16949 & ISO14001 procedures and work instructions.
  • Provide a safe and healthful work environment that is free of all recognized hazards for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Advise employees, contractors and visitors of any actual or potential danger to their safety or health and ensure the necessary training and/or personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided.
  • Cooperate with all local, state and federal agencies, such as OSHA or the EPA, in the event of an inspection.
  • Know, follow and enforce all applicable SH&E Rules, Policies, and Procedures.
  • Help manage Safety Performance Measurables such as incident rate, monthly inspection results and EOS scores.
  • Overall performance to the measurable elements of our SH&E system are part of annual performance review.
