Compensation Range: $23-$25 Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location. Job PurposeThe Industrial Engineering Intern at Bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys and a manufacturer of advanced power solutions, assist inventory and operations managers in process design or optimization, and validation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Actively participate in inventory process improvement by following instructions from the manager Engage with Warehouse Team and Supervisor to identify, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancy issues Direct support in detailed process documentation, design, validation and implementation Be a part of process design discussions and conduct feasibility and time studies as directed Generate process flow charts and facilitate document release process as needed Perform Time Studies to determine base line process time, support line layout rebalancing, and to measure process improvement benefits Maintain tools and work environment for optimal performance and safety. Assists managers in various activities and projects Assist Manager to Implement LEAN Concepts in the Facility – KanBan; Single Minute Change Over; the Elimination of Waste, and to improve the work order staging process

Requirements

  • Completed 3 years of study towards a bachelor’s degree in industrial and/ manufacturing engineering bachelor’s degree
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship experience in a project team environment is a plus

Responsibilities
