About The Position

QP manufacturing is searching for an industrial engineer to join our family owned team headquartered in Chardon, Ohio. Duties: Document existing processes and implement new processes as needed with necessary supporting standard operating procedures Utilize QP MRP system and document procedures associated with all MRP processes Develop and maintain standard quick run reports to support visual management of QP metrics including: Production efficiency Labor variance QP OTD Vendor OTD Maintenance WO trends and cost Quality performance (scrap dpm, non-conformances) Ensure work center standards (cycle time, material usage, tooling use) are aligned with expectation. Develop and maintain QP training program and ensure new SOP's are added to relevant position skills matrices. Evaluate production labor, tooling, and material usage to identify opportunities for improvement and work with engineering and production to implement improvements. Map all relevant QP value streams and document. Identify opportunities for inventory and lead time reduction. Lead Kaizen continuous improvement events to improve visibility, reduce waste and maximize process performance. Review of inventory movement and optimization of run quantities to ensure cost positive MRQ's appropriate to demand patterns. Other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree in industrial engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a technical or manufacturing field.
  • High level of proficiency in MRP systems and MS office applications (Excel, Word, PPT)
