This role in summary Whirlpool is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is an onsite role for our Marion, OH location. The Industrial Engineer will play a key leadership role in driving/vetting productivity, optimizing manufacturing processes, and supporting cost accuracy across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience

  • Data analytical skills
  • Thorough understanding of Lean manufacturing, with an emphasis on Value Streams and Standardized work, WCM experience, specifically Workplace Organization and Focus Improvement preferred, EEM experience
  • SAP and costing (routers, deletion factors) experience
  • Well-developed communications, project management, coaching, interpersonal, and team building skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop a project pipeline for cost takeout/loss removal including working closely with finance department to validate potential savings
  • Drive continuous improvement though detailed/fact based analytics
  • Support scoping of cost projects within the Marion facility
  • Own all costing, routers, line balances, and labor utilization for projects
  • Develop and maintain equipment capacity information and planning
