About The Position

As an Industrial Engineer in the Wireless Semiconductor Division (WSD) fab in Fort Collins, you will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and IT to optimize manufacturing. Key responsibilities include sustaining high-volume production, long-term capacity planning, factory scheduling, and leading automation and efficiency projects. You will work cross-functionally to ensure safe, efficient, and scalable factory performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or high-volume, complex manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization.
  • Working knowledge of capacity planning, scheduling, and productivity analysis.
  • Proficiency with Excel, SQL, Python, SpotFire, JMP or similar analytical tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work on site in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing automated material handling systems.
  • Experience in semiconductor wafer fab, assembly/test, or advanced packaging operations.
  • Familiarity with MES systems, factory automation, or material handling systems.
  • Experience with simulation or optimization tools.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Masters degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day manufacturing operations to maintain output, cycle time, and delivery commitments.
  • Analyze production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to sustain stable operations.
  • Develop and maintain standard work, labor models, and operational metrics.
  • Own long-term and mid-range capacity planning models for tools, labor, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Evaluate demand forecasts, product mix changes, and technology transitions to ensure capacity readiness.
  • Support capital planning by providing data-driven recommendations for equipment purchases and factory expansions.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize factory scheduling strategies to maximize throughput and on-time delivery.
  • Partner with Production Control, Engineering, and Operations teams to balance WIP, cycle time, and tool utilization.
  • Use simulation, optimization, and scheduling tools to assess scenarios and drive decision-making.
  • Support and deploy factory automation solutions, including material handling, MES enhancements, data systems, and decision-support tools.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve data accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with IT and external automation resources to ensure scalable and robust system implementations.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, cost reduction, yield support, and cycle time improvement.
  • Apply Industrial Engineering and Lean methodologies (e.g., value stream mapping, standard work, line balancing).
  • Quantify benefits, track results, and present findings to leadership.
