Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering or related field of study and 2 years of experience in Industrial Engineering within a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Applicants must have demonstrated experience with: 1) development and maintenance of engineered labor standards to be used for labor management. 2) Warehouse Management and Labor Management systems (such as Manhattan Systems WM and LM for open systems or related). 3) performing time studies and motion studies. 4) Lean/Six SIGMA. 5) Kaizen and 5S. 6) Excel, including macro coding. 7) root cause analysis. 8) evaluating processes, including flow charts and value stream mapping. 9) project management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for administering the Labor Management and Pay for Performance program, including engineered labor standards, within assigned region of Distribution Center (DC) supply chain network.
  • Provide engineering services to DC network, including project management, continuous process improvement, and identification of operational cost reductions to optimize DCs utilization, productivity and efficiency.
  • Quantify value of continuous improvement opportunities related to process design, flow of materials, facility layout and resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with DC leadership to define, prioritize and execute continuous improvement projects.
  • Provide recommendations for staffing and business forecasts.
  • Assist with multi-channel DC operations (Retail and eCommerce fulfillment).
  • Drive sustainable results via increased floor presence in DC and routinely interact with hourly front-line partners and department supervisors.
