About The Position

The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for managing direct/indirect labor and activities that impact line speed, cycle checks, scrolls, workstation assignments, change control, and line balancing. This role requires the application of Lean concepts to identify and eliminate waste, as well as conducting time/motion studies using MODAPTS. The Industrial Engineer will provide technical support to the IE Manager and IE Supervisor to maintain efficient Lean manufacturing processes and manning levels. Additionally, the position involves supporting Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) Domains as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology or similar / equivalent
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organization from shop floor to management
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Ability to work any shift, including overtime
  • Ability to travel on occasion (10% - 20%)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing Stellantis Production Way in a union environment
  • Knowledge of time study/standards, ratings, MODAPTS, ergonomic evaluations
  • Knowledge of Chrysler Automated Manufacturing Planning System (AMPS)
  • Assembly launch experience
  • Kitting and indirect labor experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for direct/indirect labor and activities affecting line speed, cycle checks, scrolls and workstation assignments, change control and line balancing
  • Utilize Lean concepts to identify and eliminate waste
  • Perform time/motion studies using MODAPTS
  • Assist the IE Manager and IE Supervisor with technical services to maintain efficient levels of Lean manufacturing and manning
  • Support Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) Domains as required
