About The Position

HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for a well-established manufacturing organization seeking a top-tier Industrial Engineer to lead lean transformation and operational efficiency efforts at its El Reno facility. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on improvement leader who excels at eliminating bottlenecks, reducing waste, and building scalable systems that increase throughput across both production and office operations. The right candidate will bring strong lean expertise, the ability to influence teams on the floor, and a proven track record of measurable continuous improvement outcomes. The Industrial Engineer will serve as a proactive change agent, driving process optimization, workflow redesign, and cultural adoption of lean principles. This role includes oversight of IE operators and technicians and close partnership with site leadership to execute long-term operational excellence initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (required)
  • Minimum 5+ years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven success improving throughput and eliminating production bottlenecks
  • Strong background in structured problem solving, root cause analysis, and data-driven decision making
  • Solid working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and CI methodologies
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence across levels
  • Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and effective in fast-paced operational settings
  • Must be comfortable working fully onsite in El Reno, Oklahoma

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing or mentoring technical teams within IE or CI functions
  • Prior ownership of plant layout redesign or equipment implementation projects
  • Demonstrated ability to build sustainable lean culture, not just one-time improvements
  • Experience partnering directly with site leadership on strategic operational priorities

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement lean tools including 5S, standard work, visual management, pace-to-takt, value stream mapping, Kaizen, and 8D
  • Identify process constraints and execute improvements that reduce waste, WIP, and cycle times
  • Drive throughput improvement by optimizing layouts, sequences, material flow, and manufacturing processes
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across both plant operations and office-based functions
  • Develop capacity models, labor standards, production planning tools, and time studies
  • Improve equipment layouts, workflow efficiency, and jobsite safety practices
  • Manage, coach, and develop IE operators and technicians to strengthen execution capability
  • Train leads, supervisors, and managers to embed a continuous improvement mindset across the organization
  • Own equipment capital expenditures, including design input, vendor selection, procurement, and implementation
  • Partner with the Operations Manager and Site Leadership Team to define and execute a structured CI roadmap
