  • Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of injection molding processes, materials, and machinery.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and analysis software (e.g., MS Visio).
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems for data extraction and analysis.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software for facility layout design.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven project management and leadership skills.
  • A proactive and self-motivated work ethic.
  • Hands-on manufacturing expertise:Experience in industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably with plastics or injection molding processes.
  • Continuous improvement mindset:Skilled in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process optimization to drive efficiency and quality.
  • Technical proficiency:Comfortable with CAD software, process mapping tools, ERP/MES systems, and advanced Excel for data analysis.
  • Collaborative leadership:Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams and lead projects.
  • Analytical and proactive problem-solver:Able to identify opportunities, troubleshoot challenges, and implement solutions with minimal direction.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience in an injection molding or plastics manufacturing facility is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles. (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization: Analyze and improve all aspects of the injection molding process, including machine cycle times, material flow, setup (SMED), and operator workflow to maximize efficiency and throughput.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kanban to eliminate waste and streamline operations.
  • Work Measurement: Develop, document, and maintain standard work instructions and time standards for production processes using time studies and other industrial engineering techniques.
  • Facility Layout and Ergonomics: Design and optimize plant and workstation layouts to improve material flow, reduce unnecessary motion, and enhance employee safety and ergonomics.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management.
  • Project Management: Manage capital and continuous improvement projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality department to implement mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke) measures and ensure that processes consistently meet quality standards.
  • Cost Reduction: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through process improvements, material usage optimization, and waste reduction.
  • Training and Support: Train and mentor production staff on new processes, standards, and lean manufacturing principles to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Benefits

  • Work in a temperature-controlled environment (no sweating or freezing out on the floor!).
  • Enjoy working with a team that values safety, respect, and innovation.
  • Be part of a company that’s all about quality, craftsmanship, and teamwork.
