At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Engineer II to join the Lighting Sector Kenall Team in Kenosha, WI. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and leading continuous improvement efforts within Operations and will plan and execute operational launch-related activities required for successful product releases and engineering change implementations. This role requires close collaboration across engineering and operations to ensure alignment and buy-in on key initiatives and process changes. What Will You Do? Proactively identify and address areas of opportunity and collaborate across the organization using lean techniques to improve safety and ergonomics, eliminate bottlenecks, increase quality, and reduce cost across the Operations department. Partner with product engineering to plan and drive launch-related operational activities. This includes, but is not limited to, layout redesigns, design verification build (DVB) management, manufacturing cell development, creation and maintenance of standard work, product costs, and throughput analysis. Technical production lead for the launch of new products and changes on existing products with a focus on process and quality. Review bill of materials and labor costing to establish routings for new and existing products; report and perform regular maintenance to keep information current. Own the creation and maintenance of Standard Work and Visual Aids for assembly. Lead business efforts in implementation of lean manufacturing concepts including executing strategies, training employees, facilitating kaizen events, and auditing areas to ensure sustainability of improvements. Extract and analyze process data to develop strategies to drive process improvement. Monitor trends in performance indicators to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate activities in scrap reduction, elimination of rework, material variances, labor variances, safety and ergonomic evaluations, and overall continuous improvement. Analyze current capabilities versus future production needs based on expected customer demand and establish machine, tooling, and process requirements. Troubleshoot processes and quality defects in areas of responsibility. Keep up to date on changes and advances in technology and best practices, incorporating new techniques and tools where appropriate.
