About The Position

Join Collins Aerospace as a Industrial Engineer II in Fairfield, CA, and become a vital part of our dynamic team! You'll spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing your expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and Industrial Engineering to enhance our culture of continuous improvement. Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Events, 5S events, facility layout events, or other Kaizen events.
  • Experience with Production/Manufacturing Capacity Analysis/Planning and Line Balancing.
  • Experience calculating Takt Time, Utilization, Productivity and performing Time Studies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing business justification in pursuit of executing Capital Expenditure Projects
  • Experience with JIRA (Atlassian tool)
  • Experience Running Production Manufacturing Simulations
  • AGILE framework task management and project planning
  • SAP / ERP Experience
  • Experience Designing Layouts in AutoCAD and/or Visio
  • PowerBI or other data analysis tools

Responsibilities

  • Establishes the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient and optimized sequence of operations and work flow.
  • Production/Manufacturing Capacity Analysis/Planning
  • Plans the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routings.
  • Plans the allocation of resources, materials and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment.
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
