About The Position

We are looking for talented individuals who want to join us on our mission to help solve relevant real-world problems in manufacturing and the supply chain. We are a virtual-first company and your primary work experience will be virtual / working from your home. Occasional travel to a physical office may be required to enhance working relationships, collaboration, design, strategy, and alignment. This role will directly lead and execute the strategy for the Industrial & Electronics industry verticals. This role requires deep, executive-level expertise around manufacturing processes, best practices, key trends, regulatory issues, and the competitive market positioning for enterprise resource planning (ERP)solutions. The vertical industry marketing director: drives internal and external marketing activities in support of strategic revenue and profit objectives for the QAD suite of products in specified market verticals. Provides vertical industry expertise around processes, best practices, trends, issues, and market positioning for supply chain and manufacturing. Is responsible for communicating and evangelizing QAD’s solutions and strategies to relevant internal and external communities. Supports field sales pursuits for new prospects and expands the product portfolio footprint in QAD customers.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Science/Engineering, or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in the industrial & electronics industry.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing ERP requirements
  • Experience in developing and executing marketing plans, roadmaps, and product launch support.
  • Experience in direct or support of sales to the industrial & electronics industry.
  • Strong computer skills with Office applications (Google or other Suite), Access, Project, web applications, etc.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with several teams concurrently.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Experience in writing and editing sales and marketing collateral thought leadership pieces such as trade journal articles, blogs, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Industry-Specific Strategy: Define and execute the global industrial & electronics vertical strategy, including market penetration goals, target accounts, and strategic opportunities.
  • Critical Sales Engagement, Enablement & CxO Advisory: Provide executive-level support for critical field sales pursuits within the industry vertical, including vision-setting engagements, C-suite account planning, final proposal reviews, and acting as a trusted advisor to C-Level leadership at strategic customer and prospect organizations. Will work with various stakeholders to drive greater industry knowledge through the Sales organization by supporting new hire training, global industry training, and collateral (i.e. Play-book).Works with the global teams to create and deliver industry-specific knowledge regarding industry issues, and opportunities in support of regional industry strategy development and execution.
  • Industry Thought Leadership: Establish QAD as a definitive leader in industrial & electronics manufacturing and supply chain technology. Lead the creation and publication of thought leadership papers. Work with Analyst Relation to position QAD as an industry leader, supporting Industry Advisory Group Activities, and supporting industry conference presentations, articles, etc. that help brand QAD as a leader
  • Demand Generation: Design and champion high-impact, focused demand-creation initiatives specific to the industry verticalization.
  • Product and Solution Enhancement: Partner directly with Product Development and senior Product Management to architect and champion the strategic roadmap for QAD’s industry solutions and offerings. This includes collaborating with top-tier customers to define critical, high-value functionality for the future of manufacturing.
  • Portfolio Positioning: Collaborate with Product Marketing to develop differentiated, executive-ready positioning, collateral, and messaging that addresses major industry challenges and decision-makers.
  • Competitive Positioning and Feedback: Collaborate with Product, Product Marketing, and Sales Enablement teams to ensure consultants and influencers are equipped with differentiated, high-value competitive messaging; actively gather and synthesize their market and product feedback to inform internal strategy and roadmaps
