Responsibilities
Make necessary repairs to mill equipment
Rebuild mill equipment as needed
Troubleshoot maintenance issues
Must be able to use hand tools and other tools required for the job
Must be able to burn efficiently
Must be able to read schematics
Must be able to use multi-meter, Amp meter, megger, and other devices to troubleshoot issues
Assist mechanics as needed
Must be able to operate a crane, forklift, man-lift and other mobile equipment as needed
Keep work area clean
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical components
Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors
Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices
Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices
Diagnose and correct PLC programming problems to minimize downtime
Diagnose, repair and or replace electrical components of machines including but not limited to motors, relays, overloads, cables, switches, sensor, and variable speed drives
Capable of reading electrical schematics
New equipment installations
