The Industrial Electrician is a (first) shift union position responsible for planning and performing installations of die cast, punch press and plating equipment, PLC troubleshooting and programming and troubleshooting to the electronic component level. Also responsible for the diagnosis of malfunctions and repair of complex electronic equipment control systems and other types of computer and microprocessor based requipment. Perform assigned duties with little or no supervision or instructions

  • planning and performing installations of die cast, punch press and plating equipment
  • PLC troubleshooting and programming
  • troubleshooting to the electronic component level
  • diagnosis of malfunctions and repair of complex electronic equipment control systems and other types of computer and microprocessor based requipment
  • Perform assigned duties with little or no supervision or instructions
  • previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably a die cast plant
  • experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming as well as basic circuit troubleshooting
  • able to interpret schematics/prints
  • able to read ladder logic for troubleshooting and be familiar with SLC500 and RS logics
  • positive work history
  • able to work unsupervised
  • team player
  • 3 plus years or an electrical apprenticeship preferred
