Observing safety procedures and meeting electrical codes. We are hiring Industrial Electricians at our Chicago Heights, Illinois facility. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Industrial Electrical Degree and/or verifiable Vocational Education in Electrical field required.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience with industrial electrical applications and/or education and experience combined is required.
  • State journeyman or master electrician license preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge and comprehension of state, and federal safety regulations as well as the local, state, and federal electrical code standards.
  • Must have experience working with 3 phase motors and controls.
  • Basic working exposure to PLC. (Inputs, outputs, and logic).

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and repair of the electrical components for all equipment with as minimal of downtime as possible.
  • Perform electrical preventive maintenance on all equipment as required.
  • Ensure all safeguards of equipment are installed as needed to conform to governmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with maintenance management, lead electricians, and other peers to become familiar with electrical maintenance procedures and processes for all equipment supported by this position.
  • Provide customer service to other associates by way of trouble-shooting electrical issues.
  • Maintain safe and environmentally sound behavior and ensure that proper work procedures and practices are followed.
  • Comply with all safety standards and regulations.
