Job Summary Maintain a high level of reliability for all SCPA containerized cargo handling equipment. Essential Job Responsibilities Provide timely, reliable, and cost-effective service for all SCPA containerized cargo handling equipment. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to all SCPA containerized cargo handling equipment in an efficient and proper manner. Maintain adequate technical knowledge and skills to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all SCPA containerized cargo handling equipment. Assists as necessary with the installation, testing, and acceptance of new or modified containerized cargo handling equipment. Train and mentor trainees Perform assigned tasks in compliance with applicable safety, hazardous material, and environmental policies, rules, and regulations. Document all work activities performed in a timely and accurate manner. Complete all payroll-related records in a timely and proper manner. Observe all SCPA safety practices and procedures. Practice good housekeeping both during and at the completion of all tasks. Additional Job Responsibilities Assume the essential job responsibilities of Mechanic/Electrician Team Leader, HLM or Maintenance Team Leader, Inland Ports as necessary. If assigned to a SCPA Inland Port, provide routine preventive maintenance for and the initial response to problems with all SCPA facilities and non-containerized cargo handling equipment.
