About The Position

Industrial Electrician As an Industrial Electrician you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying electrical devices and systems associated with feeder / branch circuits and over-current protection. Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and electronic equipment such as motors, switches, timers, transformers, power rectifiers and photoelectric sensors Operates equipment and tools to complete work such as cutting, threading, bending conduit, removing and replacing conduit, fittings, and junction boxes Installs and connects distribution and utilization equipment components; ensures safety codes and National Electric Codes (NEC) are met prior to installation Draws, reads and interprets electrical schematics and one-line diagrams Conducts weekly / monthly calibrations as required by regulatory agencies Serves as an active member of the Plant Emergency Response Team (PERT); ensures electrical shutdown in case of an emergency Operates forklift or similar machinery as needed Maintains an understanding of and adherence to related State and Federal rules for waste management Utilizes the appropriately required personal protective equipment (PPE), as this position works around hazardous materials Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Requirements

  • High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Certified Electrical Journeyman -OR- an Associate degree in an electrical related field (required)
  • 3+ years of experience as an electrician (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with PLCs (preferred)
