About The Position

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Electrician consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Installation & Maintenance Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures. Perform routine inspections of electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for repairs. Install and maintain electrical panels, circuit breakers, transformers, and wiring systems. Safety & Compliance Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and company safety standards. Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other safety procedures to prevent electrical hazards. Document repairs, maintenance tasks, and safety inspections. Technical Work Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical diagrams, and work orders. Diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing devices such as voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes. Install and repair control systems including motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Collaboration & Communication Coordinate work with contractors, engineers, building maintenance staff, and supervisors. Provide clear updates on job status, timelines, and required materials. Train or mentor junior electricians or apprentices (if applicable).
