About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Industrial Electrician to support electrical systems within manufacturing and industrial facilities. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and expanding electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The ideal candidate has strong experience working with medium to high voltage systems, demonstrates a strong safety mindset, and can collaborate across teams while also working independently.

Requirements

  • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or technical training (required)
  • Valid electrician’ s license or certification per local regulations
  • 2– 4+ years of direct experience with medium-voltage systems
  • 5– 8 years of high-voltage electrician experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, industrial systems, PLCs, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
  • Ability to measure, bend, and install electrical components per code
  • Experience developing programs and working with drives
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and safety-focused mindset
  • Ability to travel routinely between Aurora and Montgomery facilities
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to develop top talent

Responsibilities

  • Work with low, medium, and high-voltage electrical systems, primarily medium to high voltage
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot switchgear, including circuit breakers, disconnect switches, and control panels
  • Install electrical wiring, trapeze systems, hangers, fixtures, control systems, and industrial machinery according to blueprints and technical manuals
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Diagnose electrical faults and repair or replace defective components
  • Ensure compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and other trades to support facility operations
  • Measure open capacity on the electrical grid or switchgear
  • Train and develop junior associates into electrical technicians
  • Follow testing procedures and safety protocols when working with high-voltage equipment
  • Coordinate with local municipalities regarding permits and required documentation
  • Support other trades or departments as workload and projects require
  • Perform other duties as assigned
