The 1st Class Industrial Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems across the Plant and Mine.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred
  • Journeyman / 1st Class Industrial Electrician (state, union, or equivalent experience), preferred
  • 2+ years in industrial electrical work (manufacturing, mining, chemical, or heavy industry), required
  • Proficient in executing required job tasks
  • Steady Employment History
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair motors, starters, drives, and electrical systems ranging from low to high voltage, including 480V and 4,160V
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across all Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation (EIA) systems
  • Perform maintenance, adjustment, and calibration of process control instrumentation (flow, temperature, pressure, density)
  • Adjust and calibrate hardware to ensure proper integration between field devices and automation systems
  • Independently manage daily and emergency work orders
  • Strictly follow and complete all safety procedures and documentation, including LOTO, Hot Work, Confined Space, Line Breaking, and Pre-Job Hazard Analysis
  • Coordinate with area supervisors to prioritize work and support task delegation when needed
  • Accurately document work orders, maintenance activities, and updates in the CMMS
  • Proactively identify and report potential safety, environmental, or equipment risks
  • Update and maintain asset records, Bills of Material (BOMs), and electrical drawings
  • Serve as a technical resource for electrical and instrumentation best practices
