Industrial Electrical Technician
About The Position
As an Industrial Electrical Technician at Superior Industries, you'll play a key role in supporting the Superior Industries UL508A control panel shop and aftermarket parts sales group in loading programs into PLC and HMI's. You will have the opportunity to help quality check and troubleshoot finished equipment on the testing pads to ensure the control automation is 100% before shipping to our customers. PLC and HMI programming software: Downloading production and test programs into PLC and HMI's using Rockwell software, Codesys, WinLGC, etc Troubleshooting automated machines using ladder ladder logic and structure text Completing quality checklists and submitting reports and documenting failures and corrective actions Technical analysis: Interpret project requirements, electrical specifications, and customer needs to verify the control system functions as designed. Evaluate devices returned for warranty consideration and submit findings report to the engineering and aftermarket teams Collaboration: Work closely with industrial electricians and automation team to obtain proper program versions for programming PLC and HMIs Coordinate with quality control team to ensure proper testing checklists are complete so machines ship on time Collaborate with panel builders to ensure design accuracy during assembly and wiring Quality control: Adhere to industry electrical safety standards and codes Review designs for accuracy, compliance, and potential issues Conduct design reviews and provide necessary documentation
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology, mechatronics, or a related field
- Experience in PLC and HMI software for loading and troubleshooting, preferably with a focus on industrial control panels
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, control circuits, and industrial automation principles

Responsibilities
