About The Position

The Industrial Development Principal leads the strategy, development, and execution of complex industrial development and offset programs in support of domestic and international pursuits and contracts. This role is responsible for shaping and implementing industrial cooperation strategies that align with customer country regulations while supporting business growth objectives. The Industrial Development Principal establishes and maintains strong relationships with international industry partners, foreign government authorities, and offset organizations to ensure compliance and successful execution of industrial commitments. Serving as a key liaison across program management, business development, business operations, and corporate functions, this leader drives the establishment of agreements, oversees program performance, and ensures offset obligations are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. You are a strategic and globally minded leader with deep experience in industrial development, offsets, or international business operations. You understand the complexity of foreign industrial cooperation requirements and can translate regulatory expectations into executable strategies that create value for both the customer and the enterprise. You excel at building trusted relationships with international partners and government stakeholders, navigating cross-cultural environments with professionalism and credibility. You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple commitments simultaneously while ensuring compliance and program performance. A strong communicator and collaborator, you work effectively across functions and business areas to align stakeholders, influence decision-making, and deliver results that support long-term growth and customer success. Requirements

  • Demonstrated Experience in Industrial Development/Participation, Business development or Program Management
  • International business and customer experience with knowledge of international cultures and customs.
  • Verbal, written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skill experience necessary to clearly communicate with multiple levels of business, government, and executive leadership.
  • Experience understanding and interpreting international customers' needs and requirements.
  • Experience leading multi functional teams in developing strategies, and driving results.
  • Experience operating and thriving in a fast-paced international environment. Must be self-motivated and able to operate with minimal guidance and succeed in a highly competitive arena.
  • This position will require international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of industrial development/offset strategies in support of current and/or future industrial cooperation obligations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with international industries and with offset/industrial organizations/authorities within foreign governments to understand their industrial offset regulations and expectations.
  • Directs the establishment of agreements with offset customers, suppliers and industrial partners that meet customer country industrial regulations/ requirements.
  • Manages the implementation of industrial and/or offset programs that satisfy commitments on schedule and within program budget.
  • Directs the reporting on offset progress, and ensures offset commitments are implemented in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Provides liaison and interface with program management, business development, business operations and other functions.
  • Collaborate with other LM Business Areas and corporate functions to develop and execute strategic industrial projects
