About The Position

The Principal, Talent Development owns the design, delivery, and evolution of Lumin Digital’s employee talent development ecosystem. This role exists to ensure employees and leaders have clear, effective pathways to grow capability, build careers, and strengthen leadership readiness in support of talent density and business strategy. Success in this role requires system-level thinking, strong facilitation and coaching capability, and the ability to partner with leaders to translate business needs into scalable development solutions. The Principal operates with significant autonomy and serves as a key thought partner to the VP of Talent and Organizational Development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, Psychology, or a related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Twelve (12) or more years of experience in Talent Development, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience owning and evolving enterprise or multi-program talent development initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders to assess capability gaps and design development solutions.
  • Strong background in facilitation, coaching, and leadership development.
  • Expertise in adult learning principles, leadership development, and career development practices.
  • Ability to think systemically about talent development and translate strategy into scalable solutions.
  • Strong facilitation skills across virtual and in-person environments.
  • Coaching capability with managers and leaders, including development-focused coaching.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong judgment and ability to influence without authority.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives, priorities, and stakeholders effectively.
  • High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated behaviors aligned with Lumin Digital’s values: Trust, Respect, Boldness.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in coaching, facilitation, or assessment tools (e.g., Strengths, DiSC, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience designing career development frameworks or leadership pipelines preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve Lumin Digital’s employee talent development domain, including career development, early and mid-level leadership development, and targeted programs such as Women’s Leadership Development, aligned to enterprise and business strategy.
  • Design, deliver, and oversee high-impact learning and development experiences that build capability, readiness, and engagement across the employee population.
  • Establish and maintain clear career development frameworks, tools, and learning pathways to support employee growth and internal mobility.
  • Partner with the VP of Talent and Organizational Development to ensure alignment between employee development efforts, leadership development, succession planning, and organizational development strategies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on talent development needs, capability gaps, and development solutions.
  • Facilitate and oversee virtual and onsite workshops, leadership programs, and team offsites that improve effectiveness, alignment, and trust.
  • Coach managers and leaders to strengthen development conversations, coaching capability, and talent development practices.
  • Define success metrics for talent development initiatives and use data, feedback, and insights to continuously improve impact and adoption.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
