Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Associate degree with a technical focus and 5+ years of related industry experience, or 7+ years of related industry experience.
  • Proficiency with basic and specialty hand tools.
  • Demonstrated knowledge spanning electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems; able to analyze problems, develop alternatives, and execute repairs.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively—local, national, and international.

Nice To Haves

  • Preventive maintenance methods, precision measurement, mechanical alignment, and general process equipment maintenance.
  • Experience with PLCs, field devices, and motor/drive systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive break/fix and preventive maintenance: observe equipment in operation, identify root causes, and execute repairs on electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems.
  • Disassemble machinery to access faulty parts; repair or replace components; adjust functional mechanisms and control instruments; reassemble and validate performance.
  • Independently complete maintenance aligned to industry standards while collaborating with customer personnel on reliability and PM procedures.
  • Set up and run lathes, drill presses, grinders, and related tools to make or recondition parts; carry out welding when required.
  • Use industrial control systems for advanced troubleshooting and analysis of complex equipment issues.
  • Record all actions, findings, and parts usage in detailed service documentation and maintenance management systems.
  • Uphold customer site rules, contractor codes of conduct, housekeeping, and safety processes; practice situational awareness to identify unsafe acts/conditions.
  • Pursue ongoing training and technical self‑study to broaden capabilities.
