Be the expert customers count on Picture your week: one day you are on a noisy factory floor tracing an electrical fault through a PLC-driven line; the next, you are rebuilding a gearbox and aligning drives to get production back on schedule. This role is hands-on, independent, and highly mobile. Extensive travel required - local and national. What you will tackle Own break-fix and preventive maintenance for industrial equipment from first look to final test. Observe equipment in operation to find root causes; dismantle assemblies to access and replace failed parts; adjust mechanisms, controls, and instrumentation to restore optimal function. Troubleshoot electrical circuitry and mechanical systems, applying strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and fluid power principles. Identify and source parts, consumables, and repair materials required for maintenance activities. Operate with minimal instruction and complete work to recognized industry standards. Partner with customer maintenance and operations teams to execute reliability and preventive maintenance procedures. When needed, set up and run machining operations such as lathe, drill press, and grinder; perform basic welding to make or repair parts. Conform to customer contractor codes of conduct, housekeeping expectations, and safety processes at all times. Document all work in service reports and in applicable maintenance management systems. Use standard processes within industrial control systems to analyze complex equipment, perform maintenance, and resolve issues. Pursue on-the-job training and self-study to advance your technical capabilities. Follow all safety policies, rules, and technical instructions with strong situational awareness to identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
