About The Position

Step into a day on the road You start the morning reviewing a service ticket, then head to a regional client site. With safety front-of-mind, you observe a production line in motion, trace a fault to its root cause, open up the equipment to remove worn components, and dial in adjustments to controls and instrumentation. After repairs and replacements, you test electrical circuits and mechanical systems, recondition machine tools as needed, and verify performance before handoff. What you’ll take on Perform expert-level break/fix and preventive maintenance independently, aligned with industry best practices. Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control issues; propose alternatives and implement repairs. Source parts, supplies, and repair items; evaluate options to improve reliability and reduce costs. Collaborate with customer teams to refine maintenance, reliability, and PM procedures. When needed, set up and operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools; perform basic welding. Document service activities in reports and management systems, including observations and equipment performance data. Troubleshoot advanced control systems, resolving software, hardware, and configuration problems. Use advanced maintenance technologies to gather performance trends and recommend improvements. Coach junior technicians and support project leaders; contribute expertise to training and development efforts. Adhere to site codes of conduct, housekeeping expectations, and all safety processes; maintain strong situational awareness. Travel Extensive local and regional travel is required. What you already know Education: High School diploma or GED required. Associate degree with a technical focus and 10+ years in the industry, or 12+ years of industry experience. Deep understanding of electro-mechanical systems, fluid power, and controls; adept at analysis, solution design, and hands-on repair. Comfortable with both basic hand tools and specialized service equipment. Preferred background Condition-based maintenance, precision alignment, and experience with relevant process equipment. You’ll communicate clearly on noisy floors and at times be seated. Lifting and moving over 50 pounds may be required on occasion. Work regularly calls for close and color vision. You may work outdoors at times and around live power, with a risk of electrical shock. Factory settings are typically very loud, and you may encounter hazardous materials and slick or greasy surfaces.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
Associate degree with a technical focus and 10+ years in the industry, or 12+ years of industry experience.
