About The Position

This position involves the assembly of various machine parts following instructions and within specified timeframes, adhering to safety and quality standards. The role requires the use of appropriate tools and equipment and performing other duties as directed by a Lead man or Supervisor. Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings for General Assembly and Wiring of Press Brake Assembly, as well as training other employees in Sub Assembly and Ship Prep. The assembler will conduct quality checks, identify defects, and ensure all work complies with quality standards and safety procedures. Maintaining a clean and safe work area, performing adjustments to meet factory specifications, and supporting company policies are also essential. The role may require working unsupervised at times, adhering to all safety policies, and wearing required PPE. Employees must speak English during emergencies and job duties with potential for emergencies. This is a non-field-related position requiring in-office work 4-5 days a week at the assigned facility. Non-essential functions include specific vision abilities, performing work accurately, demonstrating commitment to an Injury-Free Environment, using critical thinking to solve problems, communicating and enforcing EHS programs, and filling out forms.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures
  • Ability to perform quality work checks
  • Ability to identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation
  • Ability to perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Ability to perform adjustments needed to ensure factory settings and specifications using schematics and/or engineering documentation
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • May be required to climb using a safety harness or ladder up to 16' feet tall
  • Must be able to work unsupervised at times
  • Must adhere to all safety policies and wear required PPE
  • Employees are to speak only English during an emergency and while performing job duties where there is potential for an emergency
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

  • Ability to walk and stand on cement flooring throughout a 10 hour shift
  • Ability to use fine motor skills to tighten bolts and wire
  • Ability to perform constant bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, grasping, twisting at the waist, reaching above the head & reaching outward and kneeling

Responsibilities

  • Assemble many machine parts according to instructions and within a specific time frame
  • Use appropriate tools and/or equipment according to safety and quality standards
  • Carry out any other duties as directed by the Lead man or Supervisor
  • Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately perform the General Assembly and Wiring portion of the Press Brake Assembly process
  • Train other employees how to perform the Sub Assembly and Ship Prep portion of the Press Brake Assembly
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area specified time frame
  • Perform adjustments needed to ensure factory settings and specifications using schematics and/or engineering documentation
  • Support company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, ISO policies and good manufacturing practices
  • Work unsupervised at times
  • Adhere to all safety policies and wear required PPE
  • Speak only English during an emergency and while performing job duties where there is potential for an emergency
  • Perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others
