About The Position

This position is responsible to lead, plan, staff, and direct all aspects of an assigned geography and a team of 8-10 Industrial Territory Sales Engineers (iTSE) within the Schneider Electric National Sales Force (NSF), which includes the following specific duties: Provide direction, coaching and development activities for sales staff necessary to achieve sales targets and progress within their career. Assess talent and make appropriate changes to optimize your team. Make talent assessments, resource changes, hiring and onboarding new resources a key priority. Formulate, communicate, and implement strategic and tactical sales plans. Provide coaching to ensure successful execution of plans. Drive engagement with Schneider Electric Distributors to create alignment and growth strategies that support our Channel Led Industrial Mission. Drive collaboration between all Schneider Sales Organizations to maximize Industrial coverage. Track and analyze sales performance and take action to close performance gaps. Create and submit monthly forecasts. Position supervises 7 direct reports in the position of Industrial Territory Sales Engineer. Position requires 70% travel within the United States to customers and distributors.

Requirements

  • Position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, or related engineering field, and progressive, post-bachelor’s experience (7 years with Bachelor’s or 5 years with Master’s) in Product engineering and sales or marketing in the Power Products industry, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Industrial End User/OEM sales via Channel
  • Driving engagement between product engineering and sales teams, contributing technical insights to sales strategies
  • Providing comprehensive technical training, including comprehensive sessions to customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders
  • Providing Forecasts to Line of Business
  • Providing and presenting two business cases per year to leadership
  • Utilizing CRM tools to design market growth strategies
  • Building and reporting out on top-to-top meetings with key channel partners.
