About The Position

From our headquarters in Libertyville, IL Snap-on Credit provides financing to technicians, students of automotive technical institutions, and shop owners for the purchase of Snap-on hand tools, power tools, tool storage, and diagnostic products through our Extended Credit program. Primary responsibility is the management and collection of the Snap-on Industrial EC portfolio, performing in a manner that will achieve corporate, regional, and individual performance standards.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of professional business experience
  • 1-3 years of credit and collections experience
  • Business understanding and demonstrated skills and knowledge in: Credit and collections Credit laws and regulations Reporting requirements Communications – verbal and written Computer applications Skip Tracing Negotiation

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls on accounts where payments have been missed and resolve service issues while controlling delinquency
  • Escalate any important issues to the attention of the Industrial Senior Account Manager
  • Resolve customer delinquency problems or vendor delivery issues so as to retain customers and achieve permanent corrective action.
  • Make arrangement to obtain customer payments, process phone payments, etc.
  • Answer field and customer questions concerning the credit program and account status.
  • Quote payoffs, provide account status, facilitate resolution of Vendor issues, etc.
  • Manage transition of post-graduation accounts to appropriate servicing Franchisees
  • Ensure day to day activities and collection procedures adhere to corporate policy
  • Counsel and advise Industrial sales & management team on credit sales, collections, and customer credit concerns
  • Promote Snap-on Credit’s EC program
  • Educate Industrial field sales personnel on EC program features and benefits
  • Handle inbound customer, Account Manager, and Franchisee calls with questions about Industrial EC accounts
  • Other duties as required
