About The Position

This placement will support the Interpretation program at the National Park of American Samoa. They will perform a variety of tasks, including coral restoration, public outreach and education, marine survey work, and much more.

Requirements

  • Willingness to work on a collaborative team.
  • All participants must be between the ages of 16 and 30, inclusive, or veterans age 35 or younger.
  • Participants must also be a citizen or national of the United States or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States.
  • Hours served can be applied toward the Public Land Corps (PLC) hiring authority.

Responsibilities

  • Community outreach focusing on marine debris.
  • Organize beach cleanups with local villages.
  • Assist with marine debris display in visitor center.
  • Assist with education program.
  • Participate in school visits.
  • Computer data entry
