About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of the program director/team leader, the Individual Placement and Support/Supported Education Specialist (IPS) assists participants in identifying, obtaining, and maintaining employment or educational opportunities aligned with their recovery goals. Services are community-based and focused on rapid engagement rather than prolonged assessment.

Requirements

  • Ability and knowledge of basic computer programs for service documentation and report writing
  • Trained in the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support model
  • Demonstrated knowledge of correct procedures for Medicaid billing
  • Strong communication skills and comfort with public speaking
  • Teaching skills, non-judgmental personality, and empathic listening skills
  • Bachelor’s in Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field or current
  • Completion of Quality Behavior Solutions (QBS) Safety Care training, CPR, and First aid (upon hire).

Responsibilities

  • Assists participants in identifying, obtaining, and maintaining employment or educational opportunities
  • Willingness to be trained in the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support model
  • Coordinates with the Community Support Specialist to integrate vocational and educational goals into the treatment plan
  • Participates in weekly team meetings and ongoing consultation with the Team Leader
  • Provides individualized coaching
  • Communicates with employers or educational institutions
  • Supports participants in maintaining successful employment outcomes
  • Monitors progress toward recovery goals.
  • Maintains service records, database, and statistics.
  • Submits documentation for services in a timely fashion
  • Ensure that all documentation and communications align with Trinity Services’ mission, values, and operational needs.
  • Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner
  • Handle all confidential information in a professional and secure manner
  • Other duties as assigned
