About The Position

We are looking for an Individual Giving Manager who can work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to further CASA’s mission and community impact. CASA of Travis County believes every child who's experienced abuse or neglect deserves to have a dedicated advocate speaking up for their best interest in court, at school, and in our community. To accomplish this, the team at CASA educates and empowers community volunteers who ensure each child's needs remain a priority in an overburdened child welfare system. As the Individual Giving Manager at CASA of Travis County, you will play a key role in advancing our mission by building strong relationships with leadership-level donors and driving annual fundraising initiatives. Working as part of the Advancement Team, you will lead strategies to engage, solicit, and steward individual donors, oversee the entry-level giving society, manage CASAblanca sponsorships, and supervise the Donor Relations Specialist. The Individual Giving Manager is a critical role to move CASA of Travis County towards meeting our vision of providing a volunteer advocate, safe home and promising future for every child in Travis County who needs us.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required. CASA of Travis County welcomes employees from diverse educational backgrounds and degree programs.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in a fundraising or sales environment, including proven experience soliciting, cultivating, and stewarding individuals.
  • Experience building and maintaining budgets.
  • Experience managing community volunteers.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under time constraints, be goal oriented, and maintain productive and effective relationships with volunteers, team members, and community supporters.
  • Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while balancing competing priorities. Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as highly collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Must pass CASA’s background checks, including fingerprint background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Six years of experience with prospecting, soliciting and stewarding donors in a nonprofit organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for CASA's mission.
  • Experience forecasting fundraising goals and results through reports and spreadsheets.
  • Experience managing professional staff.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the annual individual fundraising plan in collaboration with the Senior Director of Advancement and other members of the Fundraising Team by targeting individual donors.
  • Solicit new and steward existing leadership donors (donors giving $2,500/year or more) through relationship building, meetings, and presentations.
  • Support the Senior Director of Advancement in anticipating major funding changes and trends through ongoing research of current and emerging fundraising best practices.
  • Manage the planning, and implementation of giving societies gatherings with a focus on stewardship, cultivation, and engaging new and existing donors individual donors.
  • Manage the entry-level giving society ($2,500+), the Powerful Voice Society (PVS), through welcome letters, renewal letters, soliciting annual gifts, and ongoing communication and updates.
  • Collaborate with the Advancement Team to execute the CASAblanca Gala
  • Cultivate relationships with prospective donors in order to solicit sponsorships, and table sales,
  • Support revenue tracking and standards, sponsorship tracking and fulfillment of benefits, tracking of ticket sales, invoicing, table host communications, and gathering of attendee data.
  • Ensure timely stewardship of all event sponsors, table hosts, and event guests.
  • Supervise the Donor Relations Specialist, working closely with that individual to build and support their knowledge, skills, confidence, and capability.
  • Ensure that the Donor Relations Specialist is effectively cultivating and stewarding their donor portfolio and moving those relationships forward, as appropriate, toward increased gifts for CASA's mission.
