About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking an Indirect Value Stream Manager. This position will be located at our Jackson, MI facility. This role is responsible for the tactical and strategic operational management of an assigned Value Stream in the Jackson plant. In this role, you will have accountability for all aspects of value stream performance, including safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and other cost measures with responsibility for over $50M in annual sales. The Value Stream Manager must know how to lead a team and will coach the value stream’s High Performance Work Teams to establish and maintain a positive, engaged team sentiment through application of Eaton’s Values, Ethics, and Philosophies and empowering the Team members to make decisions, innovate, and work in a continuous learning environment through implementation of Continuous Improvement Framework, which includes the ELSS tools, Tier meetings, leader standard work, and Gemba-style process checks. The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in Operations/Manufacturing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years leadership experience in a manager of people role.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Jackson, MI will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a safety culture through using MESH tools, safety best practices, and empowering all employees to take responsibility for their own safety as well as the safety of everyone they work with. Ensures that environmental health and safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship.
  • Provide leadership in strategic use of Eaton Business System practices, including MESH, CIF/ELSS, EQS, ProLaunch, and BOS/BSC processes with focus on performance of the entire value stream. Keep focus on meeting customer needs, both internal and external.
  • Responsible for operational performance indicators. Take appropriate actions to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals are met. Manage the BOS process to track and understand key operational metrics and develop strategies and action plans to improve operational performance. Facilitate Tier 2 Meetings with Front Line Leaders and supporting team members. Drive long-term process/metric improvements leveraging EBS Pull framework (in alignment with plant and direct value streams' direction/priorities).
  • Create and execute the profit plan for assigned value stream, including labor and resource planning, managing material and support costs, and future forecast to deliver upon financial commitments. Responsible for co-leading annual plant Physical Inventory in coordination with finance team.
  • Analysis and presentation of operational performance metrics and action plans to senior leadership.
  • Build the organizational capability of the High Performance Work Teams through coaching, mentoring, and training of the Team Leads and Team Members. Utilizes the APEX process to manage performance of the Front Line Leaders and support team.
  • Ensure required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet customer, manufacturing systems, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate and assist with business initiatives to drive best practices across the enterprise. Champion process design and compliance to AS9100, NADCAP, EBS, and Customer Quality Systems requirements.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
