About The Position

The Warehouse Inbound Coordinator has responsibility for all aspects of distribution center product receiving functions. Position will have duties that ensure the accuracy of inbound product received, all data entry into the Warehouse Management System and JDE 9.1, and various steps in the quality assurance processes. This position is responsible for ensuring that all departments are running smoothly. They plan purchases, negotiate contracts and coordinate budgeting to make sure business continues as usual with minimal downtime or interruption from one department's workflow.

Requirements

  • Education – High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience – One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical skills (including Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point), engineered labor standards and systems, voice selection technology (Lucas), JD Edwards, managerial/leadership skills, good communication skills, flexibility to cover shifts, excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all scheduling of Upstate Niagara backhauls and Smoothie backhauls. This will include scheduling appointments with the vendors, scheduling and closing out of loads on Mercury Gate, reporting appointment times to transportation, and scheduling of all backhauls in JD Edwards.
  • Will release rail cars, monitor potential detention charges by checking release dates in the system, understand and review the rail report to monitor inbound loads, and enter data into the KPI report.
  • Responsible for entering daily inbound volume information into the Warehouse Planning Resource for labor staffing purposes.
  • Direct / Coordinate receiving personnel workday.
  • Follow DQMP inbound check in guidelines for all live unload/drop trailer appointments and direct carriers to appropriate dock doors.
  • Conduct appropriate trailer QIP through the usage of the Warehouse Management System prior to unloading product.
  • Trouble-shoot and resolve potential receiving errors through the Warehouse Management System and JDE 9.1 system.
  • Responsible for reviewing variance reporting of product received.
  • Assist in processing of Phase Ins/Outs.
  • Responsible for proper calibration of all receiving probes and ensuring the proper documentation is complete per DQMP guidelines.
  • Responsible for making receiving appointments in line with established receiving guidelines and generating printed schedules for the following day.
  • Utilize the Warehouse Management System reporting to aid in daily maintenance of product code dates and proper rotation.
  • Systemically adjusts inventory to resolve Warehouse Management System versus physical inventory discrepancies.
  • Performs slot location checks to validate Warehouse Management System versus physical inventory including cycle counts, zero slot checks, quantity variance, less than ten, Phase In/Phase Out, and others as needed. This entails generating reports, physically counting the items, processing the data entry and creating follow up reports and required documentation.
