Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, toxicology, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of small animal handling experience.
  • Proficiency in rodent handling and injections (IP, IC, IM, IV, SQ).
  • Experience evaluating rodent behavior and physical signs, including those related to compound effects.
  • Experience with gross examinations and necropsy.
  • Familiarity with cGMPs or experience working in a GMP environment.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute in vivo studies focused on infectious diseases and vaccine immunogenicity across multiple species.
  • Perform hands-on work including pathogen infection models, monitoring viremia, assessing immune responses, and tissue collection.
  • Prepare and administer compounds using multiple dosing routes (IM, PO, IP, SC, IN, IV).
  • Maintain detailed, high-quality data and documentation in electronic lab notebooks.
  • Support gross examinations and necropsy activities.
  • Contribute to evaluation and integration of new in vivo techniques and technologies.
