In Process Quality Technician - 1st Shift

About The Position

Schneider Electric is seeking an In Process Quality Technician for incoming inspection on 1st shift to join our team in Mt Juliet, TN. This role will be mainly focused on operation CMM equipment and preforming In-Process Inspection of tools. Operate and program CMM equipment (e.g., Zeiss, Mitutoyo, Hexagon) using software such as PC-DMIS or Calypso. Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections on components and assemblies. Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and specifications. Create and maintain inspection reports and documentation for quality records. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve dimensional discrepancies. Maintain calibration and proper functioning of measurement equipment. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and process control. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other applicable quality standard. Relevant Experience & Skills Technical Skills: Proficiency in CMM programming and operation. Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading. Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges). Familiarity with quality management systems and standards (ISO, AS9100). Software Knowledge: PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar CMM software. Basic knowledge of CAD models for inspection purposes. Experience: Typically 2–5 years in a quality control or inspection role within manufacturing. Hands-on experience with dimensional inspection of complex parts (machined, molded, or fabricated). High School Diploma or higher level of education preferred. Soft Skills: Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams Basic Requirements: PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is required; safety shoes and safety glasses must be worn on the production floor Work is performed in a Manufacturing Environment, where prolonged period(s) of standing is required for duration of shift. Requires ability to reach overhead, pull, push, bend, squat, and climb a ladder to perform work. Ability to lift 26 pounds occasionally or 22 pounds independently and repetitively.
