About The Position

The In-House Technician Level 2 is responsible for performing intermediate-level technical work on X-ray imaging systems. This role includes diagnosing, testing, repairing, and refurbishing system components with limited supervision. The technician will play a key role in ensuring equipment performance, safety, and quality standards are met while supporting more advanced troubleshooting and repair activities.

Requirements

2–5 years of experience working with diagnostic imaging equipment
Technical degree, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on experience in electronics, electrical systems, or a related field preferred
Strong understanding of electrical and electronic troubleshooting
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and other testing equipment
Mechanical aptitude for disassembly and reassembly of complex systems
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently while following strict safety procedures

Responsibilities

Perform equipment harvesting and disassembly independently for assigned X-ray systems
Apply working knowledge of system architecture to accurately identify, remove, and evaluate components
Test and evaluate components using approved procedures and diagnostic tools
Analyze test results to determine component functionality and disposition
Perform component-level repairs and support system installation activities within scope
Troubleshoot common system and component failures
Support technical operations and respond to modality-specific technical needs
Document work performed, test results, and repairs accurately
Adhere to all safety, quality, and process requirements
Escalate complex or non-standard issues to the Modality Lead
